Steven De Franco, the nickname is iH8sn0w is a necessary character in the jailbreak community. He owns a very famous & valuable jailbreak tools too. iH8sn0w has many experiences about the jailbreak and creating jb tools too. He involves into the jailbreak with many ways since 2009.

However these developer not attended for any new latest iOS versions after iOS 10. It seems he is not active in jailbreak community now.

Let’s see about his history.

Actually, iH8sn0w motivates others jailbreak teams, when they are in trouble. Therefore, he is an important person to this field.

iH8sn0w’s jailbreak involving for iOS 10 & iOS 11

iH8sn0w successfully demonstrate iOS 10 jailbreak using the first beta version of it. He used the iPhone 5C to complete it. iH8sn0w hinted to other jailbreak developers the possibility of iOS 10 jailbreak with this demonstrate. Every time jailbreak tool’s developers in trouble finding a method to release JB tool, iH8sn0w helps them directly or indirectly. Here is the example.

When Apple killed iOS 9 and iOS 8.1 jailbreak, he involves directly to find JB method. For the first time, Apple introduced Rootless Jailbreak to prevent the jailbreak as a security update from iOS 9 version. At that point, all the jailbreak tool developers failed to find method, except the iH8sn0w. He demonstrated it on 10th September 2015 & released a video too. Then Pangu and TaiG got his method to find their own jailbreak tool. Pangu released iOS 9 Jailbreak. TaiG released iOS 8.1.1 Jailbreak. So, because of the iH8sn0w, we had these two jailbreaks.

Posixspwn is the most successful jailbreak tool of the iH8sn0w. It works to jailbreak iOS 6.1.6 to iOS 6.1.3 versions as untethered. The latest version is 1.0.8, and it is working both Windows and Mac operating systems. But, it has no any P0sixspwn tool update recently.

Sn0wbreeze

Sn0wbreeze was another successful jailbreak tool released by iH8sn0w. It supports to jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 3.1.3 versions as untethered. 2.9.14 was the last version and beyond iOS 6.1.3 release, iH8sn0w failed to update.

iFaith

iFaith is not a jailbreak tool, and it is an open source. It is allowed to you downgrade current iOS version to older iOS version.  When you want to Downgrade to the previous version, you need SHSH blobs and iFaith allows you save SHSH blobs. iFaith tool is only working within the Windows operating system. iREB

iREB is released for iOS 3.x.x to iOS 6.1.2 iTunes errors and custom firmware. The tool supports the iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS(S), iPhone 4, iPod Touch 1G, 2G, 3G and 4, iPad, Apple TV 2. Using this tool, you can bypass iTunes errors while restoring or upgrading by entering the DFU mode.
