i0n1c Jailbreak

i0n1c (Stefan Esser)

i0n1c is very famous as a security researcher for iDevices. In the jailbreak community known as i0n1c and real name is Stefan Esser, released video clip showing his iOS 8.4 beta 1 installed iPhone running unique Cydia application as the latest. It was the new concept for iOS 8.4 jailbreak because most of the Developers failed to release the proper version for beyond iOS 8.1.2 version. So iPhone iPad users could make hopes for iOS 8.4 full version Cydia installation. Finally, it was able to jailbreak iOS 8.4 version. Pangu, TaiG and PP Jailbreak teams did it successfully. These three teams followed Stefan Esser’s method to find jailbreak tools for iOS 8.4.

Author of the CyberElevat0r tool. Even if, he proved via YouTube video, it is possible to jailbreak iOS 7.1.1 as untethered jailbreak with CyberElevat0r tool, he did not release it for the public. Pangu jailbreak team got encouragement and released the Pangu jailbreak version for iOS 7.1 to iOS 7.1.x versions using Stefan method.

i0n1c’s Intervention for jailbreak latest iOS versions

i0n1c expressed interest in iOS 10, when it released the second beta version for the public. As the Security researcher, he identified system and security issues of this beta release. Also iH8snow has been involved in this case by publishing one of the videos to prove, it can be jailbroken iOS 10 beta 01 version

But until now he did not release any jailbreak tool for iOS 10 or any other higher versions. What he has done is, every time it has the lack of jailbreak in the field, i0n1c encourages others to give some solutions.

However, now there are many jailbreaks. Here are some of them in brief for those who are concerned.

There is Checkra1n jailbreak available up to iOS 13.7 Jailbreak for A5 – A11 devices and iOS 14 / iOS 14.0.1 jailbreak on A9/A9X devices. Stefan Esser’s jailbreak efforts

i0n1c publishes his JB magic into the world very rarely. Most important thing is even though he was able to prove installing Cydia is possible or not, he does not publish any jailbreak tool or method for the Cydia lovers. It was a big discussion about the Cyberelevator tool. But it was not real.

Here are all his efforts for the iOS versions jailbreak.

iOS 8.4 beta 01 jailbreak – No mention any tool.

Jailbreak effort of i0n1c was iOS 8.4 beta 01 jailbreak and proved via YouTube video, it is possible to jailbreak it for Cydia. But, it did not mention any tool, which is used to complete the jailbreak. Then Pangu, TaiG and PP Jailbreak released tool version to jailbreak iOS 8.4.

Here is the video proved of iOS 8.4 beta 01 jailbreak.

iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak –mention about CyberElevat0r tool.

i0n1c revealed about the CyberElevat0r tool as an untethered JB tool for the first time. But, it was not published. The Pangu team got help from @evad3rs and @i0n1c to release the Pangu tool for iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak. The Pangu team was thankful for i0n1c as well as @evad3rs. But Stefan Esser rejected it by claiming the Pangu team did not buy the vulnerabilities never ever to release the JB tool.

Here is the iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak video using CyberElevat0r tool.

Gratitude of TaiG Jailbreak to Stefan

When TaiG released version 2.1.3 to jailbreak iOS 8.4, there was a Cydia issue when using TaiG tool. i01nc pointed it out. At that time the TaiG team mentioned i01nc’s help via twitter after fixed it. Normally, Stefan is famous for doing nothing for Cydia without showing the possibility of downloading it for the iOS versions. So Cydia lovers lifted him up this time.
