WWDC 2022 – Worldwide Developers Conference
Worldwide Developers Conference, known as WWDC is a technical conference organized by Apple to introduce their new software and technologies to software developers. WWDC is held annually in California and commenced in 1983 in Monterey, California. Every year they release updates for Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch, Apple TV and other devices in this conference. As well they unveil their new products. The participant can test some of these products in hands-on labs with Apple engineers.
Apple announced in April that WWDC 2022 will take place in early June, with the event running from June 6 to June 10. Due to the ongoing global health crisis, the 33rd Worldwide Developers Conference will once again be a digital-only event with no physical gathering. WWDC 2020 and WWDC 2021 were both digitally held for the same reason, and the 2022 event will follow the same format as the previous two years.
What to expect in WWDC 2022
Apple will introduce the software updates for their four incredible platforms of iOS, macOS, watchOS & tvOS at the wwdc22.
iOS 16 / iPadOS 16
Most awaited mobile operating system, iOS 16 will be released for iPhone and iPadOS 16 for iPads. Also, we can expect this major update with a lot of features as well as high security features which prevent jailbreaking iPhone and iPad. But, there are many iOS 16 Jailbreak solutions to install third party jailbreak apps, tweaks and many more.
According to Apple trademark filings, macOS 13 could be called macOS Mammoth. Apple registered several California landmarks to use as Mac names back in 2013, and Mammoth is the only one that has remained active.
WatchOS 9 will include a new power saving mode that will reduce the amount of battery life that Apple Watch features consume, thereby extending battery life. The current “Power Reserve” mode restricts Apple Watch functionality to only the time, but the new power saving mode will allow Apple Watch owners to use apps and features while still conserving battery life.
tvOS 16 will be launched for Apple TV. Apple is already working on tvOS to make a more convenient platform.
Apple is working on an updated version of the Mac Pro with the most powerful Apple silicon chips. So it might preview at the event before releasing it in the fall to give developers time to build professional apps for the new chips. Also, the long-awaited AR/VR headset from Apple could be teased, if not fully revealed.

Apple has a YouTube live stream set up ahead of WWDC, and viewers can sign up to be notified when the event begins. The keynote address is scheduled for Monday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
