Features of Cheyote

User Interface

It only includes the reveal of the name and the unveiling of the user interface, which appears modern and sleek. Odyssey Team appears to have paid close attention to the UI of their Cheyote jailbreak tool, as it also includes customization options such as various themes and custom color options.

Jailbreak options

In terms of jailbreak options, the tool will provide users with access to Activating and deactivating jailbreak tweaks, Returning the jailbroken system to its original state, Choosing a nonce, Activating or deactivating the log window & Going to recovery.

Another interesting thing to note is the familiar OTA updating of the Cheyote jailbreak tool when the Odyssey Team releases updates.

Package manager of Cheyote

The Cheyote jailbreak will by default install the Sileo package manager, but users will be able to install alternatives such as Cydia, Zebra. So, you can download Cydia for iOS 15 with Cheyote. Lead designer of the Zebra team, shared an article via reddit that Zebra 2 will be available on Taurine15 and shared two designs for iPhone and iPad.

Jailbreak Tweak Support

As it is a rootless jailbreak, many jailbreak tweaks will not work out of the box. jailbreak tweaks must be converted to the new user experience. Developers need to work to update the tweaks to be fully compatible with the upcoming iOS & iPadOS 15 Cheyote jailbreak. Developer support provided via Odyssey team’s discord channel.

Prepare your device

iOS 15 – iOS 15.1.1 users stay on these versions. You can’t downgrade iOS 15.4.1 and iOS 15.4.1 is no longer signed by Apple. But, if you are below iOS 15.4.1, you can still upgrade to iOS 15.4.1 using DelayedOTA until August 13. If you are an iOS 15.5 user, do not update further.

Here is the flow chart update by the developer Aaron (@aaronp613) explaining if you should update your device or not.

More about Cheyote iOS 15 Jailbreak

Coolstar has been developing Jailbreak tools since iOS 11. He shared news that he is currently working on “Taurine15”. Usually he gets the name of his previous jailbreak tool when a new project is developing and after that he changes the name. So, Taurine is his previous jailbreak for iOS 14 – iOS 14.3. So, he used the “Taurine 15” as the beginning and change the name as Cheyote Jailbreak now. Many will recall that Taurine was originally referred to as Odyssey14 before receiving its official name, so it should come as no surprise that the Odyssey Team has given the jailbreak its own name. (Odyssey jailbreak is released for iOS 13 – iOS 13.7 by them). Chimera and Electra are also the same.

Also, the developer announced that all Coolstar’s jailbreak such as Electra, Odyssey, Taurine auto converted to the Cheyote role except Chimera.

Cheyote Alternative

Still Cheyote hasn’t been released, so if you are interested about iOS 15 jailbreak right now you need to use alternatives.

Here are the best iOS 15 Jailbreak alternatives for Cheyote.

Zeon – Zeon is a next level jailbreak solution for iOS 15 & higher versions. Actually this is a jailbreak repo extractor that you can install jailbreak tweaks, themes, Cydia, Sileo and  many 3rd party apps. However, these Cydia & Sileo have limited functionality services. Installation process is super simple, no need for a computer, alt store or any other support service.

Virtual jailbreak – Virtual jailbreak now available with Checkra1n and Unc0ver tools hence original tools are not upgraded for iOS 15. With this process you can install web-based Checkra1n or Unc0ver on all iOS 15 devices. Once you open the app it offers a jailbreak button, click the button to complete the virtual jailbreak process, then install cydia with a few clicks. But, you must remember that Cydia is not fully functional and it provides limited features.

The Odyssey team is full of talented developers. Lead developer is Coolstar and 23Aron, Tihmstar, Amy While and CRkatri are there.
